For 2008
and beyond we will be running on the same weekend as the "Iola Old Car
Show" event.
I can hear it already . . . " Are you people NUTS? That's the
biggest event in the upper Midwest and you're going up against them?"
That's the thing. We're NOT going to compete with them, we'll be running our
event in conjunction with their event.
Consider this . . . Iola's Event begins on Thursday.
That's probably their major selling day.
Spud City begins on Friday with a major portion of the events
beginning on Friday Evening.
Iola's events are structured more for the Daytime Activities.
Spud City does a lot of their activities in the evening.
Spud City's Rolling Thunder Kruize is and Evening event. The
Concert with one of the award ceremonies is held on Saturday Evening.
By putting the Spud City Event on the same weekend as the Iola
Event, we're giving participants the chance to attend Two Fantastic
Events without the expense of Two Travel Dates.
Now when participants are done shopping at Iola's Show, they have another
event they are able to attend right in the neighborhood without the added
hotel and gas expense.
Stay tuned to the website and mark this in your travel calendar.
